Integration of Refugees in Romania

Far from home, but not alone. Through the Integration of Refugees in Romania Program, we help refugees and immigrants find their place in the community and make a new life in Romania, one that is safe and dignified. We offer social services, Romanian language courses, a Refugee Children’s Center and support in finding both jobs and housing.

A Real Support for a New Life

Through the Support for Refugees and Immigrants program, we help those who have been forced to leave their home country and start a new life in Romania. We assist with finding housing, securing employment, and accessing Romanian language courses, so that each person can build a stable future.

The program takes place at the Caritas office, located in the courtyard of Bărăția Parish near Piața Unirii (Strada Bărăției, no. 27).

For children in grades I–IV enrolled in Romanian schools, we also operate a Refugee Children’s Center, where they receive support in learning Romanian and mathematics, while keeping a strong link to their first language. Currently, 26 children benefit from this daily program.

For a refugee, having a home, a job, or access to education can mean the difference between uncertainty and a new chance at life.

At Caritas Bucharest, we support both adults and children in finding the stability they need to integrate and look to the future with confidence. Help us provide refugees and immigrants with the support they need to build their future here in Romania.
